DROOP, well up from the start and reserved when outrun, moved up rapidly when ready, took command entering the stretch and, after drawing clear, tired and just lasted to outfinish HIGHMINDED. The. latter, slow to get going and on the inside for a half mile, was steered to the outside of the winner after reaching the final eighth and would have been up in another stride. MASKED. PLANE, hustled along on the outside, improved her position after three-eighths, was slightly impeded when HIGHMINDED was steered through on the inside of her in the drive and tired thereafter. CARLADE worked her way forward steadily and finished well. MISS TAD, shuffled back at the turn, showed little thereafter. SIS QUINLAN, rushed to the front, was unable to draw clear and tired rapidly after five-eighths. GALA NUTTER began slowly and showed little. Overweight — Carlade, 1 pound. The latter sprinted into a clear lead during the opening quarter, sot a good pace under light urging, was unable to withstand the winner, but held on well. STRANGE TIMES, timidly ridden after reaching contention, was taken back when in close quarters, was steered to the outside in the drive and finished strongly. COPPER KITTY, hustled along from the start, tired after offering a mild bid approaching the final quarter. SPANISH MAID was , badly handled. WISPY had no mishaps. JUST IMPERIAL had early speed. RADIOGRAM, slow to begin, but quick to settle into his stride, moved up on the winner after entering the stretch and, when the best of the others, was placed under light restraint. I AXELSON outbroke his field, was unable to hold the lead and tired near the end. MELLOWMOON improved his position after three-sixteenths and finished well. SUDIE GREENOCK was outrun. IMPERIAL NICK began fastest oLall and, taken in hand when outrun, improved his position after a half mile failed to menace the winner, but finished strongly. GAY DAYS, shuffled back at the lower turn and outrun early, worked his way forward through the field. PEEDEEQUE was forced back at the lower turn and finished well. GEO. KREHBIEL came over sharply at the lower turn and thus benefitted established a clear lead, held sway for five-eighths and tired under pressure. SUN WINE was unable to keen up ADAMITE was left. CANT CATCH, a strong factor from the start and taken in hand when outrun, saved ground throughout, moved into the lead when VICUNA swung wide entering the stretch, gave way when the latter came again, but, in a hard duel and benefitted by riders tactics, gained the decision, but was disqualified and placed second. VICUNA, hustled along from the start, established a big lead after subduing ELLEN BAKER, gave way when racing wide at the turn, came again when straight and was bothered by CANT CATCH S rider in the final strides. GOLDEN SHOE, outrun early, improved her position on the outside and finished strongly. SWEEPING BOW showed an even effort. ELLEN BAKER tired. WILLOW PLUME was outrun. PARI CALL showed little.
