ARLINGTON BADGES UNIQUE Influence of the Roosevelt stamp designing is being felt at Arlington Park this year. The 1939 series of Arlington badges will carry a novel design in that each of the various denominations will be distinguished from the other engravings by engravings of racing action during the 1938 meeting. The old "line-cuts" have been discarded and badge-holders now will carry meeting "books" with cover designs showing Nedayr winning last years Classic Stakes, horses finishing on the turf course, the field parading in the paddock ring before the Arlington Futurity, and crowd shots on July Fourth and Classic Day. The new badge design is claimed by Fred Radtke, assistant general manager of the big northside track.
