LUCY had good speed from the beginning, was in hand to the second turn, responded to pressure thereafter, but was no match for the winner. KAPENA began to improve his position after a half mile, was hard ridden the last three-eighths and closed well. MISS FIREFLY followed the pace under restraint, was vigorously handled after seven-eighths and tired. MARGO G., steadied alongfor five-eighths, held on fairly well thereafter. TACHEONE had no excuses. BOY VALET lacked speed and failed to rally when roused. JUST BUCK gave way suddenly after three-quarters. Scratched— 74126Mt.
