1 SUFFOLK DOWNS NOTES | s — $ J. T. Christmas transferred the string he had quartered at Suffolk Downs to Rockingham Park. He will van to the Boston course from the New Hampshire oval. Second issue of the Suffolk Downs condition book governing the racing from May 26 to June 6 will be available for horsemen the middle of the week. Sammy Cramford, attached to the stable of J. Y. Christmas, succumbed to the injuries he received in the automobile accident that cost C. Wynkoop, exercise boy, his life. Cramford passed away Sunday night, and the body will be sent to his home in Upper Marlboro, Md., for burial. Stalls are being bedded down to receive the strings of Eddie Legere and Coldstream Stud, which are en route from Kentucky. Jockey Kenneth McCombs leaves Tuesday morning for California, where he has been engaged to ride for the stable owned by Bing Crosby and Lin Howard. Jockey J. Paradise accepted his first mount of the meeting Monday when he was up on Farrago in the fifth race. He will ride for the W. H. LaBoyteaux stable.
