Cubs Homers Blast Dodgers, 14-4 Fondy and Jackson I Get Two Apiece Baumholtz Gets Four Hits For North Siders; Minner Goes Limit for Second Win By the United Press Dee Fondy and Ransom Jackson each smashed two home runs yesterday to account for nine runs and spark the Chicago Cubs to a 14 to 4 victory over the league-leading Brooklyn Dodgers before 12,717 j fans. Jackson drove in five runs, scoring Wayne Terwilliger, who had walked, on his ; first inning drive into the left center stands, and Terwilliger and pitcher Paul j Minner, both aboard on walks, with his , second inning blast. Fondy had four runs batted in, driving r home Frankie Baumholtz with a first-inning double, and scoring Andy Pafko in the eighth with his second four-bagger. Baumholtz Big Day Baumholtz took batting honors for the ; day, however, with a triple, two doubles j I and a single in five times at bat to pace the Cubs 13-hit attack. Hank Sauer collected two singles. Minner went the route for the Cubs to j gain his second win of the season against j. two defeats.
