SIR LOPEZ, well ridden, steadily improved position to the stretch, was sent between horses during the drive and wore down the leaders during the last eighth. MONITRESS went to the front early, made the pace until near the finish, but faltered when challenged by the winner. LINDA HARRIET, never far back, held on well in a sharp effort and had no mishap KENO failed to rally when set down for the drive. PALLIS ROYAL raced wide. BUSY FOX lacked early speed and never reached serious contention. NEWTON AIRDS could not threaten. ABLE SIRTE had early speed, but failed to stay. CARTERS PRIDE could not keep up. OFF AT 2:30 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start god from stall gate for all but DO BREEZE. Won ridden out; second and third driving. DESERT WITCH, forwardly placed from the beginning, raced by AUGUST when ready, then drew clear when ridden out. AUGUST assumed command at once, made the pace to the stretch under pressure from DESERT WITCH, was unable to stay with the winner, but lasted to hold FLY OUT. The latter, on the inside from the beginning, could not better his position when set down through the stretch. BAD PLAY failed to rally when hard ridden during the drive. DICKS HAY DAY was never dangerous and bore out nearing the stretch. MR. BULL could not keep up. KEEP MOVING had a rough trip. GLARING had brief speed. MUSICIAN had early speed, but tired after a half mile. TORCH SICKLE bote out badly throughout, losing all chance. BERNWOOD, in close quarters while racing on the inside at the upper turn, was sent around horses to secure racing room near the three-furlong post, raced by HOLLY SWEET during the stretch run and then held FLEETERTHAN safe while under vigorous handling. FLEETERTHAN, forwardly placed and racing evenly to the stretch, was taken out slightly for the drive and finished fast, but could not overtake the top one. HOLLY SWEET, much used racing ROBUST into defeat, held a short lead when settled in the stretch, but faltered during the last eighth. ADAMS OFF OX was never dangerous and had no mishap. ROBUST was sent to the front early, engaged HOLLY SWEET for a half mile, but had nothing left for the drive. SALE PRICE was outrun. Overweight— Adams Off Ox, 2 pounds; Sale Price, 3. CHOW LINE, forwardly placed to the stretch, lost ground at the final turn, responded to punishment when straight for the drive and, after wearing down the leaders, won going away. VININA, never far back but in close quarters nearing the stretch, closed gamely under brisk handling, but could not reach the tcp one. BYAWAY, outrun to the stretch, was between horses and roughed during the drive and could not get to the leaders when clear in the last sixteenth. SHOGOIN, on the inside throughout, lacked racing room during the drive. SUNNY ACE went to the front leaving the upper turn, held a clear lead when settled in the stretch, then tired. GOOD-SHOPPER lacked early speed and was blocked when sent to the inside for the stretch run. HIKES POINT had a rough trip. EASY DIXIE tired after showing speed to the stretch. AIRTROOP, rank at the post, was never prominent in the running. WISE CHOICE, knocked back near the furlong pole while occupying a contending position, failed to recover. KINGS HOPE began fast, made the pace for three-quarters mile, then faltered. GOOD QUESTION, under a poorly judged ride, was guided into repeated interference and finished well on his own courage. MOON BABY, on the inside throughout and in close quarters leaving the upper turn, came again when clear and, remaining next to the inner rail for the stretch run, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. BOLING POLLY, in hand to the stretch, was on the outside for the drive, bore in under punishment and could not overtake the top one. PRETTV TRICK went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, drifted out and forced LAZIEVEN to take up sharply, then faltered under urging. PRETTY TRICK was disqualified for fouling LAZIEVEN and placed fourth. LAZIEVEN, a sharp factor from the beginning, was caught between PRETTY TRICK and BOLING POLLY during the drive and. knocked back, lost all chance. DISH was disqualified for fouling HADAMAUT and placed third. ATOKA LAD saved ground while improving position to the stretch, reached the lead between calls during the drive and near the finish, but could not withstand DISH. HADAMAUT, never far back, was racing prominently during the stretch run when bumped hard by DISH. OATKA lacked early speed, but finished fast. DUSTLIGHT went to the front early, made the pace until inside the stretch, but weakened during the drive. FANCY FUN, on the outside throughout, was never dangerous. MY FUTURE had early speed. TlMBOO had a rough trip. HIDDEN ACE tired after racinq well to the stretch. PLAY SURE was through early.
