Tiptons Injury Not Serious PHILADELPHIA, Pa., May 16 UP.— An x-ray examination revealed today that Philadelphia Athletics catcher Joe Tipton sustained only a mild concussion when he was struck on the head with a bat during last nights game with the St. Louis Browns. Tipton was knocked unconscious when Brownie outfielder Ray Coleman missed a strike and the bat hit Tipton behind the right ear.
