OGrady Heads Harness Racing Security Bureau at Yonkers NEW YORK, N. Y., May 16.— The newly-formed Harness Racing Security Bureau, organized "to guarantee the integrity of trotting," will be headed by Jerry OGrady, a former G-Man and assistant to the head of the Pinkerton Detective Agency. William H. Cane, president of Yonkers Raceway, announced last night he has decided not to wait to hear from the New York State Harness Racing Commission regarding its investigation of an intimation of irregularity on the trotting track. He said OGrady s staff will investigate all complaints and keep an eye on all misconduct of personnel on the Raceway operations. The formation of the security bureau is the second major step in two years initiated by Cane. Last year at Yonkers Raceway he introduced a system of photographing and marking horses for identification purposes similar to that used by The Jockey Club at the five thoroughbred race courses. This system is often referred to as "finger printing" and insures against any possibility of ringing.
