Ferd and Sheilas Reward Hurt in Toboggan Renewal BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y.. May 16. — Mrs. Andy Schuttingers Ferd and Mrs. Louis Lazares Sheilas Reward suffered injuries during the running of the Toboggan Handicap here on Monday. Ferd is reported to have smashed his jaw against the stall gate while awaiting the start of the Toboggan. While the injury is understood not to be of serious nature, the four-year-old son of Lochinvar — Ouch had considerable filling in his jaw from the blow. Sheilas Reward, voted the top sprinter of the country last year by Daily Racing Form experts, popped a splint during the running. The four-year-old son of Reaping Reward — Smart Sheila encountered poor racing luck early during the dash and could not overcome the disadvantage when clear. The injury may keep the Mrs. La-zare colorbearer on the sidelines for some time.
