Pimlico to Move Week-Day Post Time to 2:00 P. M. PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 8.— Post time at Pimlico, beginning Monday, May 11, will be 2 p. m. each week-day but will remain at 1:40 p. m. for each of the three remaining Saturdays of the meeting. This announcement was made today by Louis Pondfield, executive director of the Maryland Jockey Club, who declared that the change was being made at the suggestion of numerous patrons who maintained that with the earlier start they were unable to take in the entire program. Increased facilities at Pimlico this season have speeded up the handling of the mu-tuel play to such an extent that it is felt that even with a later start, enough time can be picked up during the programs to get the eight races completed within a very few minutes of the time when first post was at 1:40. Pimlico s business during the first week of the meeting has been highly encouraging to the management and the change in post time is not being made with a particular view toward increasing the play, it was announced.
