The latter rallied only mildly. LADY POET could not keep pace. BANDAID failed to reach contention. COYOTE was never a factor. TUCHEN GLOW was through early. VIVA BONES, under steadying restraint for about six furlongs, responded readily and, after reaching the leader, needed only mild urging to wrest command and draw clear. THIN DIME was without serious opposition while setting the pace, but was unable to resist the winner. FIERYS late rally was insufficient. CACTUS FOOT failed to menace the leaders. STRIKE weakened after holding a forward position to the stretch. ZUNIS broke alertly, was outrun for the early lead while refusing to race kindly and flattened out badly. WAR TOKEN rallied well to attain prominence and was outfinished by the winner. BIG BARGAIN held a commanding lead until inside the furlong pole and stopped badly.
