Ignite Wins by Five Lengths In Brigantine Purse at Camden GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 8. — Brookfield Farms Ignite gratified his supporters among a crowd of 17,012 here this afternoon by regally reporting an easy victor by five lengths in the Brigantine Purse. Jockey Harrison B. Wilson held a snug reserve on the winner from the beginning, and he was being eased up coming to the wire. By Jupiter, coupled with Miss Nimble as the Jay See Farms entry, finished well in second place, and he was three-quarters of a length in front of Happy Hill aFrms Merry Mount. Ignite, a four-year-old colt by Brookfield and Evening Light, had finished third in good company at Jamaica in his debut this season, and he was heavily favored for a return of .40. His time over a track that was still muddy from yesterdays rain was 1:12%. The routine of the program was interrupted by a major upset in the third race, with I. G. Schorschs Irvs Boy winning to return a 1.20 mutuel. The surprise victor defeated 11 other juveniles by a margin of two lengths under a capable job by jockey Joe Culmone. He is a gelded son of Burra Peg and Nowo and this was the second start of his career.
