Simmons Rejoins Club Today; May Pitch by End of Month PHILADELPHIA, Pa., June 18 UP.— Curt Simmons, lefthanded ace of the Philadelphia Phillies, who hurt his left foot in a rotary power mower June 4, will rejoin the club in Cincinnati tomorrow and may take the mound again before the end of this month. Simmons, will not begin pitching immediately, but will work out and receive special treatment from trainer Frank Wiechec. A portion of the hurlers big toe was amputated after the accident, which occurred as he mowed the lawn at his suburban home.
