ELSAS PAL passed tiring horses. COUNT BROSE weakened after forcing the early, pace. BARSTOW lacked early speed. ANNETTE went evenly. GATICA-LINDA rushed boldly after a quarter mile, was unable to reach the leaders and flattened out. The others were outrun. POPULAR JOE opened a comfortable lead soon after the start, shortened stride before five furlongs and was tiring at the end. TIO SANDY was unable to keep up. WILD JIMBO, slow to start, passed tiring horses in the stretch. MISTER KAW showed nothing. SILVER ZAC weakened after a half mile. The others were outrun. STRATHEDEN, outrun in the early stages, came between horses when set down in the stretch and closed willingly. BIG PERRY, reserved within striking distance of the pace, lacked a rally when roused. MOONDOG rushed boldly along the inside on the final turn, was blocked and unable to get clear until too late. IM FRED, close up while forcing the pace, skirted the inner rail, but failed to rally when set down. APACHE PASS flattened out after losing the lead. ANDROS was through early. UNSINATUS, outdistanced in the first half mile, moved with a rush leaving the backstretch, neared the pace in the stretch and hung. DUSTLIGHT was under stout pressure, but failed to make up ground.
