Feature Events Listed For Beulah Park Meeting 0,000 Ohio Championship on October 10 Headlines Schedule GROVE CITY, Ohio, Aug. 28. Thirteen feature races, headed by the renewal of the Ohio Championship Handicap, were announced today by president and general manager R. J. Dienst for Beulah Parks 25-day fall term, which opens Friday, September 11. Purses in the headliners will range in value from ,200 to 0,000, the latter figure being the worth of the Ohio Championship, scheduled for the final day, Saturday, October 10. The docket of feature events, as announced by Dienst, follows: September 11 Capital City Purse, one and one-sixteenth miles, purse ,200. September 12 Autumn Purse, six furlongs, purse ,000. September 16 Franklin County Purse, six furlongs, purse ,800. September 19 Bexley Handicap, one and one-sixteenth miles, purse ,200; and Speed Purse, five and one-half furlongs, purse ,500. September 23 Upper Arlington Purse, six furlongs, purse ,500. September 26 Beulah Park Special, one and one-quarter miles, purse ,000. September 26 High Fidelity Purse, one mile and 70 yards, purse ,500. September 30 Lancaster Purse, six furlongs, purse ,200. October 3 Tom O. Worland Marathon, two miles, purse ,500. October 3 Dayton-Springfield Handicap, one mile, purse ,500. October 7 Newark-Zanesville Purse, one and one-eighth miles, purse ,300. October 10 Ohio Championship Handicap, one and one-sixteenth miles, purse 0,000. Purses have been generally increased in the feature events, it was pointed out, just as the minimum purse has been hiked from 00 to ,000. All of the feature races are for three-vear-olds and upward.
