JUST US GIRLS saved ground on the stretch turn to move up and coming to the outside of SOLICIT in the last eighth, passed him to draw out and win under mild pressure. SOLICIT responded when urged to pass RED COMET and went to the front, then cut to the inside but was not good enough for the winner. BARSHOE, while failing to threaten the first pair, was easily best of the others. MOKATUCK was badly outrun early but made up some ground in the stretch. RED COMET tired. The others were outpaced. FINE FETTLE was close up on the-inside from the start, and easily catching MAGIC SLIPPER II., after entering the stretch, drew out to win with something to spare. MAGIC SLIPPER II. sprinted to the front early and set a good pace but was no match for the winner, although clearly best of the others. WHIRL HOME raced wide on the stretch turn but closed steadily. THE BLUE MISS dropped back when the real racing began. GRAND JUROR passed tiring horses. Overweight Magic Slipper II., 2 pounds. The Blue Miss claimed by Buddah Stable.
