Weights Are Announced For Aqueduct Handicap Tuscany Topweighted at 126 for Monday Race ButWont Be Starter AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y Aug. 28. Tuscany, who has carried Mrs. S. M. Pistorios silks to four consecutive victories on the New Jersey circuit, has been assigned top weight of 126 pounds for Mondays running of the 5,000 added Aqueduct Handicap, the stake which heads the "back home on Long Island" program. Hampton Stables steadily improving Alerted is rated next best by handicapper John B. Campbell, drawing 124 pounds, and Greentree Stables One Hitter will pack 121 if he goes postward. Cockfield Stables Arcave and James Cox Bradys Landlocked are bracketed at 119 pounds, but the latter is a three-year-old the only sophomore among the top quintet and on the scale actually is conceding one pound to Tuscany, three to Alerted, six to One Hitter, and -eight to Arcave. Tuscany, however, is being shipped to Washington Park Sunday morning and will start in the 00,000 added handicap at that point on Labor Day. Tuscany won the Rowe Memorial, Toboggan, Rumson and Boardwalk handicaps and the Salvator Mile. Landlockeds chief claim to fame is his recent bang-up second to Native Dancer in the American Derby. However, before shipping West, he captured the Choice Stakes at Monmouth, was second to Dictar in the Providence Stakes at Narragansett and took the Lamplighter Handicap at Monmouth. Alerted, known as the "iron horse" because of his long and successful campaigns, is a comparatively fresh horse, but he started in todays edition of the Saratoga Cup and its hardly likely hell be sent back so soon after that gruelling one mile and three-quarters.
