Willie Pep to Coach Nardico For His Bout With Andrews Willie Pep, one of the greatest boxers of all time and former featherweight champion, will be on hand to give his stablemate, Danny Nardico, some pointers when Danny meets Paul Andrews in the Chicago Stadium next Wednesday night. Pep, who has won nearly 150 fights in his lifetime and has only six losses, hopes to be able to show the slugging Nardico enough finesse in the art of boxing so that the Tampa Terror can solve Andrews style. Nardico has won 20 of his last 21 bouts with light-heavyweights. Most of his 12 losses in 60 fights have come at the hands of heavyweights. That is why he is rated high on the list of light heavy contenders. However, he has always been short on boxing skill. His manager, Lou Viscusi, calls him a "Little Dempsey." He just goes in and slugs it out. Its swell for the fans. But once in a while he gets caught first." Nardico, Pep and trainer Bill Gore will be in Chicago Friday morning in time to take the pre fight physical at the Illinois Athletic Commission offices.
