La Corredora at Delaware DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 17. — Mrs. Marian W. OConnors La Corredora arrived from BelmontPark to point for the -00,000 New Castle Handicap, worlds richest race for fillies and mares. The homebred daughter of Little Beans and Nellie Mowlee won an overnight handicap at the Long Island course and finished third in the Top Flight Handicap to Meyer J. Kaplans Sunshine Nell and John S. Phipps Spinning Top, both of whom figure prominently in the starting line-up of the mile and a quarter New Castle on closing day, July 5. La Corredora a Maryland-bred five-year-old mare, was accompanied by Busy Nellie and Marian Royal. Busy Nellie, a half-sister to La Corredora, was fourth to Evening Out, best juvenile filly of 1953, in her most recent outing.
