DARLIN ANN headed the field after going a quarter, and racing in good form while being well handled, drew out under ordinary urging nearing the finish. SKY SONG moved up nearing the stretch turn and, racing steadily thereafter, had little trouble disposing of the others. BRIGHT FLAME was always a good contender. BRACERO lacked early speed and appeared to lack sufficient racing room in the stretch. GLADFOOTE made up some ground. TARTAN SUE tired. DELLO had some early speed. FUSE BOX went to the front early, was well rated while making the pace, pulled away slightly around the stretch turn, but was doing his best at the end to hold GYPS GOLD. The latter raced in second position throughout, finished determinedly and was gaining steadily. SELABULL improved her position in the stretch. "DREAM CREAM made up considerable ground and was going well at the end. COURT SHANNON raced on the outside and weakened. BUSY NOW failed to seriously menace. JAY EDWARD was badly outrun. LOANELLE, off well, soon headed the field, continued with good courage through the stretch and went steadily to the end, but was all out to hold MOLLY BELL. The latter broke well, was unable to keep up with the pace, then came rather wide on the stretch turn, but finished fast. TRACK GENERAL was within striking distance in the early running and moved up after entering the stretch, then was steered to the inside of LOANELLE in the last sixteenth, but was unable to get up. BLUE RENO lacked early speed and was never a serious contender although going gamely to the end. PHILIPS PAL had early speed but raced rather wide. SCARLET LOVE and CABLE NEWS tired. HOOP MOOD was close to the pace in the early running, found an opening after entering the stretch, moved to the front and drew out slowly nearing the end. PRAIRIE STATE raced forwardly, went wide on the stretch turji, moved up gamely when straightened, but had little left for the drive. BLACK MAIN was in close quarters early, camev to the outside-in the stretch and was up to best BABY TUCKY in the closing strides. The latter took a short lead nearing the stretch turn, then tired in the final drive. DEBBIE SUE also tired. SAINT SARAZEN was used up reaching a -contending position. CHANCE ALARM refused to break with the others and raced far back of the leaders all the way. SPRING KHAL was under rather stout restraint while keeping up with the early pacemakers and, drawing out slightly in the stretch, repelled a challenge from BUGLE CORPS and led the latter to the end under hard urging. BUGLE CORPS came to the outside in the stretch and went gamely to the finish, but was clearly not good enough. NEW STREAM showed speed in making the pace, and saving ground in the stretch was a contender to the last furlong, then tired. TOP NEWS closed some ground. LEWIS A. D. raced wide. STILTON gained ground gradually in the late stages and was going well at the end. SWEET MURAL set a good pace and made a game effort to hang on in the stretch run, but tired in the last sixteenth. POPS PAL went evenly but failed to threaten. OAK RIVER was in close quarters on the inside while tiring in the stretch. REPARTEE was never a serious factor. FRIEND FRANKIE had some early speed.
