Eighty-Two Nominated For Ohio Endurance Expect Field of at Least Twelve From Group for July 3 Running THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 17. — Saturdays feature at Thistle-Down, the ,000 added Susan Stakes, has attracted an excellent group of fillies but an even better field is expected to face the starter here on Saturday, July 3, when the ,500 added Ohio Endurance will be contested. The list of nominations for this juvenile stakes was released today. A total of 82 young thoroughbreds has been made eligible for this event. General manager Louis Pondfield anticipates a starting field of at least 12 in the Endurance and with that many contestants, the race will gross 0,460 with the winner netting approximately ,800. The Endurance will be the richest purse offered at ThistleDown until the running of the 5,000 Ohio Derby on July 10. Best known of the nominees is Tom Girdlers stakes-winning filly, Gambetta, who captured the Debutante Stakes at Churchill Downs. Also represented by nominees are the Hasty House Farm with Silver Robby, Tinkham Veale n. with Gal-, cibo who won the Pimlico Dinner Party Purse, E. M. OBrien, Garrett S. Claypool, John A. Bell HI., Arthur B. Hancock, M. R. Hamar, Warner Jones and J. if. Fishback.
