NO RETURN was well in hand while forcing the pace along the backstretch, moved to the outside of SOLAR SYSTEM through the stretch and was along in the final strides to earn the victory while being strongly ridden. The latter drew clear at the head of the stretch, but was not good enough near the end. BURNT CHILD rallied from well back in the final quarter. GET LOST finished willingly. WAL-DOT-O had speed in spots. HARRYS REWARD lacked a rally. NATCHEZ. GIRL was short. SET THE TABLE was never a factor. TYNER made a menacing move along the inside and then faltered. KINGS BLOOD, unhurried in the early going, responded to pressure on the turns and, after disposing of BLUE AMBER, was drawing clear. The latter moved to the fore along the backstretch and held on gamely through the final furlong. RED ELF lacked a sufficient rally. BIT 0 BIM saved ground to no avail. MAGIC MOTION went in the air at the start and was never a factor. ALDO KID was through early. SPRING WATER quit. Scratched— 197413 Sweet Kathie, 110. Overweight— Bit o Bim, 1 pound. TOP COMMAND was nicely ridden, was allowed to settled into best stride, moved from the outside on the turns and through the stretch and was up in the final strides to outfinish ALBION. The latter was well in hand while making the pace along the backstretch, drew clear on the turns, bore out while tiring in the final sixteenth and just failed to last. BOLD KING, far back as usual in the early going, improved his position, but could not threaten the top two. HARLEM SQUARE tired. PATOIS raced evenly. BONE DRY lacked a rally. CORTINA quit.
