SUN DAVID was in reserve in the first half mile, then moved up fast when called upon to easily pass WARLESS in the stretch and win with speed to spare. SMACK-OVER was unable to keep up with the pace, but came steadily through the stretch to be easily second best. WARLESS sprinted to the front soon after the start and set a good pace, but faltered when challenged in the stretch. VIXEN FIXIT lacked early speed and passed tiring horses. WABASH MOON was forced to race wide while. on the stretch turn. TUONINE tired after going five furlongs. The others failed to be serious contenders. Overweight— Vixen Fixit, 1 pound. BONSAND was saved for the first seven furlongs, then moved up on the inside to become a strong contender, was taken to the outside of MIDAS TOUCH in the stretch, and finishing strongly, won narrowly. MIDAS TOUCH was sent to the front entering the backstretch and drew out nearing the stretch turn, then saved ground to go strongly to the end and just miss. PENROSE loomed up after entering the stretch, but weakened in the final drive. SWANEES PENNY failed to be a strong contender at any stage. PARTY KING tired. Scratched— 19126 Cee-Yuma, 104. POLTROON was in rather tight .quarters on the backstretch and dropped back, but . came steadily through the stretch. DRUIDS LYRICS showed good speed for seven furlongs while making the pace, then began to weaken. LADY BUSTER, close to the pace early, dropped back gradually and passed only tiring horses.
