BEST WISHES was never too far from the pace and, although going rather wide in the stretch, wore down GLEAMiNG DOLL to win slowly drawing out. The latter headed the field after going a short distance and then pulled up, but was unable to resist the winner, although best of the others. INEZMUCH raced steadily. FENEMOR was taken up when in tight quarters soon after the start and, although making up some ground, was not dangerous. COUNT CAL had early speed. RUSSELL TS bore out badly and interferred with MAMBO on a couple of turns and each lost all chance. KNIGHTS REWARD was not too far removed in the first six furlongs and, coming strongly on the outside after leaving the backstretch, closed resolutely in the middle of the track to be up to win in the last stride. DEB CHASER went to the front at once and, although headed by KING on the backstretch, shook off the latter and, outfinishing TIMELY TIP, just failed to hold KNIGHTS REWARD. TIMELY TIP was well rated and, slipping through next the rail after entering the stretch, took a short lead and finished close up. IDLE PLATTER went evenly but failed to threaten for the leadership.
