River Downs Feature Purses To Range from ,200 to f000 CINCINNATI, Ohio, May 7.— Purses in feature races during the first 11 days of the River Downs meeting May 27-July 16 will range in value from ,200 to ,000. The condition book for the first 11 days was released today. It is the work of racing secretary Lawrence Bogenschutz. The book lists six feature events for ,200 purses, three for ,300, one for ,000 and one for ,000. Minimum purse will be ,200. just as it was for the final week of the 1954 meeting. Top event during the early days of the session will be the Memorial Day Handicap, | May 30, for a purse of ,000. It will be contested at one and one-sixteenth miles. Carrying a ,000 purse will be the Queen City Handicap on Saturday, June 4. The 1 Queen City will be over the sprint distance ; of six furlongs.
