R. Flagg; bred by J. D Drymon IN GATE— 5:28. OFF AT 5:28* EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. KITTY LIGHTNER, never far removed from the early leaders, worked her way forward on the outside leaving the final turn, responded gamely when set down for the drive and was along in the final stride to gain the decision. RUDYS VALLEY moved up with a rush to gain near even terms for the lead at the furlong marker, forged to the front between calls during the stretch run, then held on determinedly. AIRPAK showed good speed from the beginning, but weakened when punished and was unable to cope with the top pair. LONE EAGLE slipped through along the inner rail entering the stretch, was unable to reach the leaders, but continued on gamely to earn a dead-heat with LOOK ALIVE. The latter caught tiring horses. MR. JONES began sluggishly. SOME VAMP tired. SHOWERS END never threatened. ED THE GREAT and WHISKEY SOUR retired steadily after flashing brief speed. Overweight— Kitty Lightner, 2 pounds. Showers End claimed by D. Weissberger. Attendance, 35,883; Total Mutuel Pool, ,986,891
