SCUB was lightly rated after settling into a short lead soon after the start, held on gamely in the final stages and narrowly outfinished POMPOSITY. The latter was restrained close to the pace, challenged strongly when called upon in the final furlong and just missed. G-TWO dropped back on the turn, came outside the top pair for the drive and closed gamely. RADICAL began sluggishly, found room improving position between horses and came to the inside to finish fastest. BLUE LAW did not menace with a late rally. WAR POINTER faltered under pressure. FLIGHT HISTORY immediately established a clear lead, saved all possible ground steadily increasing his advantage and won easily. SLUGGER RAY raced outside of rivals on the turn, closed well in the stretch and was clearly best of the others. SARAGINQ had good early speed, but was rapidly tiring at the end. TOLNA ROSE was eased back from close quarters next to the rail on the turn, then raced well when clear. WELL MARKED broke tardily and lost ground racing on the outside. GENERAL DILLON broke slowly. QUITE FANCY was a forward factor and weakened. ALPINE PRINCE was in hand while being outrun for a half-mile, then came between horses and finished fast. TEE SHIRT was outrun. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. THOMAS PEPPER quickly established a clear lead, saved all possible ground and held MRS. G. R. safe under strong hand urging. The latter raced closest to the winner, appeared threatening in the early stretch, but hung. FAT BOY came to the outside for the stretch drive and finished willingly. BARNEYS JOY drifted wide into the stretch and lacked a rally. LARK SUN had no mishap. MARMION was not a threat. CERULIA raced very wide in the stretch. WHY NOT gave a dull effort. MISS CHARM raced into a short lead soon after the start, swerved slightly in the upper stretch, but disposed of POLL-O-MINE and gamely held ME PERFECT safe. The latter, steadied within striking distance, loomed boldly coming to the inside at the head of the stretch, but was not good enough. P0LL-0-MINE keenly vied for the pace into the stretch and weakened. ICEBREAKER rallied well through the final stages. DERRY swerved slightly and tired in the drive. MISS GUSHER had no mishap. IFABODY, strongly restrained to the pace, was slightly urged to challenge INFLUENCE after five furlongs and bested that rival under punishment in the final eighth. INFLUENCE was nicely rated after being alertly sent to the front and held on well in the drive. ANOTHER WORLD was under wraps racing closest to the early pace, remained in hand for nearly six furlongs, then finished evenly. HELFAST raced into contention outside horses in the backstretch, came slightly wide into the stretch and hung. MR. FIRST was outrun. BLACK BOUNTY gave a dull effort. DEDICATE was first away from the gate, but was eased back and behind horses to save ground on the turn, came to the outside for the stretch drive and closed resolutely to wear down INFORMANT in the final yards. The latter raced in closest attendance to the pace and wrested command under prolonged urging in the final furlong, then did not have enough left to withstand the winner. CRAIGWOOD established a clear lead in the opening furlong, saved ground being challenged after three and one-half furlongs and weakened in the final run. IMPROMPTU raced slightly wide on the turn and lacked a rally. AMBERS FOLLY was outrun. WESTWARD HO could not keep up between horses early IMAGEM showed nothing. AESCHYLUS quit. TRAFFIC JUDGE was not a factor. OLYMPIA WIZ raced slightly wide.
