Good chance next out. SPECIFIC — Appears to be about ready to ] win when running for a ,500 claiming price. SAINT NICHOLAS— Toss out last. Was in ] some trouble and can do better. Needs to run for ,000 or less. CLOSE OUT — Showed to good advantage I in recent race here. Was second to Moondog. Tab for another good race. ETHERIDGE — Made up considerable ! ground at seven furlongs in recent outing. Could be dangerous at anything over that route. QUICK IMP— Dropped too far out of it in first part of recent race, but was going well at finish. Different tactics . might bring about victory. BAD MARGIE — Off poorly when favored last week and showed a creditable effort. . Look for improved race. ANGELS DOLL— Went wide in race in which she was second to Feb. Might I have won had she saved ground. SKY JEEP— Has had a couple of fair races here and is quite capable of coming I up with another in the near future. BARBARA L. — Recent races have not been too bad. Might come through with • a victory in very next start. LONS CHOICE— Is capable of doing better than shown recently. Chance to pop I up as a surprise in distance race. FIDDLIN MAC — Has been showing some improvement and is about ready to connect in ,500 claiming company. churchilT downs I DOGOON — Speedy three-year-old is rapidly approaching peak form and recently breezed five furlongs in 1:02%. SAUCEY AIRE— Maiden two-year-old filly lost much ground in last start, but finished second to Paula. Appears ready for graduation. LAHEIM — Quick colt is training satisfactorily and dockers caught him three-quarters of a mile in 1:14, handily, last week. NIPPERSIN K— Maiden two-year-old should soon earn initial purse providing she is handled by an experienced reins-man. OVERWHELM— Useful plater always runs as fast and as far as she can. Morning trials are on quick side. MISS REVOKED— Finished strongly in recent six-furlong sprint and she belongs with ,000 class sprinters. OIL PAINTING— Goodwin four-year-old filly gave sharp effort behind Lap Full in Sweetheart Purse. Prefers fast track for top performance. BRASSY — Comes from a well-trained stable and capable of handling high-class sprinters on muddy or dry track. MUSIC — Aged but consistent mare is always dangerous when meeting ordinary platers. She is training impressively. SECOND AVENUE— Raced disappointingly in only local engagement, but will do better when asked to go a longer route. VAGABOND KING— McHvain stable stallion was never better and dockers caught him in :35% for three furlongs last Thursday morning. TOMI BLU— Blazer Stable gelding was trifle short in seven-eighths mile race last Friday and probably needed that outing. BELMONT PARK DISPUTE — Closed with belated burst of speed in sprint behind Evening Out last time and appears ready for creditable middle-distance effort. MIGRATOR — The manner in which this Greentree youngster scored in debut would suggest additional successes in the future. PESTER — Two-year-old colt displayed high speed in first start and should not be long in gaining initial victory. COURTESY— Was compelled to take complete overland route when starting stretch bid in the Acorn. May score at next asking with improved racing luck. HUSH HALL— First start following several months of inactivity was impressive. Most likely needed that one to regain top form. BISHBASH — Appeared a trifle short last time and that one may have served as the necessary tightener. COMMONWEALTH — Continues to prep splendidly for seasonal debut. Recent five panels in :59% indicates sharpness. HIGH GUN — Leading three-year-old of last year continues to impress in morning trials and should score at first asking. Recent six panels in 1:14% was highly creditable. QUICK TOWN— Slight drop in classification is all required to assure victory for this better-than-average sprinter. WHERE ARE WE — Comes from smartly -trained unit which sends its charges out fit and ready. Could score at next asking if not too ambitiously placed. HEED ME — Encountered difficulties in previous start behind Piquanette. Merits another chance against similar rivals. HARTSVILLE — This shifty sprinter possesses high early speed and should find field to his liking In the immediate future. 1 ] ] I ! . . I I • I I LAUREL RACE COURSE NOBLE SUN — Vastly improved plater should continue winning ways if not ele- I vated too rapidly. BONE DRY — Has changed hands several times this spring and additional marathon races should aid earning powers. BIG SWTV — Maiden three-year-old appears ready for brackets after a pair of good efforts. BROKER BILL — Was much the best while beating maidens in last and should handle non-winners of two just as easily. INTHESWIM — Recent winning effort over ,500 platers suggests advancement would prove no detriment. THINKING CAP— First two efforts this year should be disregarded, due to distance and interference in second. BOLDER — Trainer Bonsai has brought this one along steadily and brackets appear in store. KOKO DOZO — Oddly named member of the George Mohr barns has trained as though ready for victory at first asking. ROSE CARILLON— Two-year-old filly in the Larry MacPhail stable who could score early in the meeting. REFEREE — Veteran plater has trained well since recent outing and seems to fancy the Fimlico track. COPPER KETTLE — Has trained well over this track and should give a good account of himself in debut. STIPEND— Three - year - old maiden has worked well and appears ready for graduation. SUFFOLK DOWNS DECATHLON— Probably the speediest two-year-old on the ground as evidenced by his easy victory here last week in a four and one -half furlong dash.- No reason he cant repeat that effort against any of the juveniles on the grounds. LITTLE COLLEEN— Had a rough trip in last start so give her another chance against same type company at six furlongs. She is ready for winning effort. DEDUCTIBLE YOU— Had no chance in last outing for he was blocked along inside for approximately a quarter mile. Take right back against claimers at six furlongs. RED PERFUME— Has been pitched a trifle high in recent outings. Watch for this one when she drops down in company. COPIER — Give this mare one more chance for in her last race she was forced to take up sharply at start and then forced to race extremely wide for remainder of the trip. LOW SKY— Had a rough trip in last try and can do much better than was shown. Tab right back in six-furlong dash against same type company. SERVICE] — Was unlucky to lose last race for had a very rough trip but was still able to finish a fast closing second. Take this one very next time out for he is certain to be right there. WELL WELL— Was knocked out of it right at start in last race and can consequently do much better. Is overdue for a visit to winners circle. SWADELLETTE— Stumbled at start and was then bumped losing all chance right at beginning in last race. Tab this two-year-old right back for she is capable of handling a field of maidens. GARDEN STATE PARK GOOGIN— Was beaten off as a favorite in his first local start, but he was impeded on the turn and had little chance. PRIAM SPECIAL — Promising juvenile. Has shown high early speed in recent workouts and appears ready. WHITE LIGHT — Blaze-faced sprinter lost a winning chance when he went in the air at the break of his first race of the season, but he showed good speed and he appears sharp. ROMANDALE — Began sluggishly in his debut, then finished with good courage. Either a sharpening of his speed or a longer distance should bring results. HUESO — Philadelphia -owned sprinter is being tuned to a keen edge by his capable trainer. His last work was an impressive 1:13%, handily. FLEET PATH — Impressive in his morning trials. Went a handy mile in 1:39% last week and he should be a tough rival to down. GOFORWARD — Closed too late to menace in his last race here, but his stretch run was very impressive and indicates he could surprise. FAMOUS GIFT — Juvenile filly closed a world of ground in her maiden start. Has the manners of a classy runner. RED WINE n. — His race last week was better than it appears on paper and he is eligible to surprise. SEARSIE — Was just a trifle short or probably would have won his first event of the season. Became sour toward the end of his 54 campaign, but raced kindly last week, PLACE KICK— Was left at the gate in his local effort, but then raced well and made up enough ground to suggest he could have won had he started with the field. I FAIRMOUNT PARK DERBY PLAY— Likes the local track. Has been training well for some weeks and morning trials indicate this one is ready for a winning performance. MISS SIGH— Usually does her best in spring racing and has a preference for sprints and a soft track. Runs with the cheaper ones. MISTIC DASH— A four-year-old filly who has been showing dockers lots of speed during the training period. Seems to be tightened enough for win on her first appearance. MISS JAN — Gave a smashing performance opening night. Needed that race as a tightener. SIMPLE SIS— Had she not drifted out at the head of the stretch in her Friday night effort could have won that heat. CASEYS HOPE — Is no stranger to the local track. Raced well enough on opening night to warrant a victory in next try. ORANGE KING— Was messed about at the start in first appearance here. When clear was racing fastest of all. With better racing luck could have been the successful one. BUCKWHEAT— Good reports on his morning trials. Is a three-year-old colt and ready to enter the winners circle at the first asking. BREZNO — On his first race here indications are he would prefer a little longer distance than the five and one-half furlongs. Races with the cheapest kind. PRIDE OF JUDEA— Getting her ready for distance racing. Prefers the ,500 or less claiming platers. SCREEN STAR— Mud is what she needs. Was never better than her present con- , dition. LUCIETE — A beaten favorite in the Inaugural. Was a bit short in that dash and should show great improvement in next performance. BATTLE DAY— A distance runner whose first race here was much better than the dope shows. Should be an early winner. FORT MIAMI SILVER REWARD— Turned in a fair effort last time postward after getting away from the starting gate very slowly. With a quicker departure from the gate may greet the judges. TROUBLED SEA— Set the pace to the stretch in his most previous outing but got weary near the end. May forget to stop in next engagement. TTME HONORED— Is nearing peak form and should account for a purse in the very near future. Tab for early victory. WRIGHTSTOWN— Displayed plenty of zip in his latest essay at this oval and may have needed that race as a tightener. Will bear watching. MYTHOLOGICAL — Is as fit as hands can make him and should register at the first asking. POWER N GLORY — Lost ground racing on the outside, but closed full of run. Should click soon. TRAFFIC MISS — Displayed lots of speed in last encounter and is capable of scoring within the next week. MOTHERS CHANCE— Unseated her rider the last time she faced the starter but may go well when properly placed at this meeting. LILY REWARD— Stumbled and fell after going about a sixteenth of a mile in last performance, unseating her rider. But with more fortunate racing luck might garner a purse shortly. ALABAMA STARS — Broke tardily in last engagement but could be formidable should she get started more rapidly. BARGEE — Scored a hard-earned victory here on Wednesday and is likely to grace the charmed circle again this week. WATEREE — Just missed in his last effort and should have benefited by that test. Should register next time out. ASCOT PARK ANDERSON — After breaking sideways this one was forced to race quite wide. Turned in a game try and could earn a purse soon. ZIGGITY — Finished second in latest outing after being forced wide early. Is rounding to peak form again. BARREL OF GIN — Finished last in most recent try after being impeded early. Might score a surprise tally with better racing luck. TROUT FLY— The manner in which this veteran router scored in his latest indicated he is probably capable of downing ,000 claiming company. DOLPHIE — A cheap sort of sprinter, but worth another chance. REBATE — Missed in a game try last week. Might gain a purse with the same brand next time out. CLEAN-UP KING— Registered an impressive tally going six and a half furlongs last week. Could repeat and can handle a route of ground. DRYOK — This veteran router is in good hands and might be hard to beat going the endurance distances at this track. FENNIGAN — A useful sort of sprinter, who usually pays his way. LORD DEANSIDE— Missed taking a purse by a narrow margin in most recent appearance. Raced a little wide or might have won it all.
