HASTY QUEEN took an early lead, settled for the drive with a short advantage, then responded to urging and won going away. NIPPERSINK moved up fast after the start, swerved to the inside when set down in the drive and, after impeding RUNNING PET, was unable to threaten the top one. NIPPERSINK was disqualified for fouling RUNNING PET and placed third. RUNNING PET, well placed from the start, was eased back when crowded by NIPPERSINK during the drive and failed to recover when clear. TOKEN TUNE raced evenly in a good performance and had no mishap. TROJAN STAR began slowly and raced greenly. TAKE ACTION was outrun and had no excuse. SIRS PRIDE showed little. CHAMPIGNON was never prominent. LIBERTY TOP was through early. PLEASING raced wide. LALUN gradually worked way forward to the stretch while under steady handling, responded willingly when hard urged in the drive and wore down LEA LANE in the last sixteenth. The latter went to the front early, set the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, swerved when challenged by LALUN and was unable to hold the latter, although easily best of the others. MAZZA began slowly but finished fairly well in the middle of the track. SO had early foot but failed to stay. ALLEGHAN tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. COUNTESS ANITA was never dangerous. INSOUCIANT raced well for three-quarters mile but had nothing left for the drive. DELTA, away in a tangle, was never a serious contender and raced wide during the last three-eighths mile. FILLY 0 MINE was through early. EIGHTH RACE 7 FURLONGS out of chute.
