BELLA A. shook off contention leaving the backstretch, held a commanding lead into the final furlong, but was tiring at the end. SUPER KITTY raced in the clear behind the top pair, was gradually steered to the outside rallying under punishment in the stretch and finished fast. SUN FAME vi»d with the winner into the turn, could not keep up thereafter, but fiinshed well. F0UR0FUS raced slightly wide. GANG MOLL gave an even effort. DREAM PASSES was never far back, steadily raced to the leaders from the outside and, wresting command in the last furlong, lasted to withstand ANKARA. The latter began slowly, rushed around horses on the turn and finished fastest of all. DARK ROYAL was steadied racing with the pace, assumed command when ready for the drive, but weakened. PANCAKE circled horses with a belated bid. TRIOGRAPH had difficulty finding racing room and hung in the final run. TEXAN SIGH was crowded and taken up sharply between horses midway of the turn and then had little chance. WICKS STAR was outrun. SOFT PEDAL quit. HANDILY pulled up dinky. PILOTESS, much the best, appeared green attempting to throw her head up rounding the far turn, but rapidly opened a long lead and won with something left. BENEFICIAL was steadied after a good start, closed resolutely in the stretch and was clearly best of the others. KEELHAUL came to the outside and rallied gamely through the stretch. WINK PROOF began alertly, saved ground showing speed for three furlongs and then faltered. COULD STAR was steadied behind horses early. SATANS MATE was outrun. ADMIRAL JOHN quit suddenly. TRIPLERATE was taken to the inside for the drive and finished well. TENNESSEE DOLL lost ground at the far turn, then came between horses to make up ground in the drive. GOLDEN WHIRL faltered suddenly in the drive. QUICK STREAM was pinched between horses while tiring in the stretch. TERELL was blocked early. MODEST MARGE attempted to bear out. SANDY HOOK, taken back and reserved for five furlongs swung wide outside horses on the turn, then rallied from the head of the stretch and wore down NOSTREBOR while finishing in the middle of the track. The latter was steadied early, saved ground taking a clear lead entering the stretch and just failed to last. JANES PRIDE was sent into contention early in the backstretch then held on fairly well in the drive. THE SPANIEL was outrun. POLLY PEP raced wide into the stretch and weakened. SKIPPER BILL, reserved early, made a bid on the final turn but was again steadied to save ground behind the leaders, then closed willingly when taken outside ROYAL BATTLE in the last furlong and was up near the -end. The latter willingly raced to I SALUTE leaving the backstretch, was held under wraps on the turn, then opened a clear lead in the final furlong when roused but could not withstand the winner. CANDLE WOOD was rushed up next to the rail to challenge at the head of the stretch and weakened in the final drive. DO REPORT had no mishap. I SALUTE showed good speed for a half-mile and faltered.
