FOOT SECRET was outrun to the last quarter, but came gamely through the stretch. BOSTON MON moved to challenge for the leadership after leaving the backstretch, but 5SS5S? ,n the fmal drive- FIRST GREEK was used up getting to the front and had nothing left. NELLS BOY was not hard urged while being outrun in the first half mile and, responding when ready, got to the front nearing the far turn to save ground in the stretch and hold BIG BARGAIN. The latter was a forward factor from the start and displayed more courage than usual in the stretch run. BLUNT came strongly in the last furlong. CLEETSIE also finished well. COSENTINA headed the pacesetting ROMAN SENATOR after leaving the backstretch and went fairly well to the finish. ROMAN SENATOR apparently had something removed cutting out the early running and had little left for the stretch run. BOILER PLATE faiied to be a serious contender. SIR TRIBAL tired. COUNTY DEFENSE bolted on the second turn and carried NEAL ELYSE out with him. The latter lost all chance when forced wide. SUBLINER had some early speed.
