Sportsmans Meet Enters Final Week Group of Eleven Routers Going Postward on Monday In Midwestern Handicap SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero. 111., May 7. — As the abbreviated Sportsmans Park thoroughbred meeting swings into its last six days Monday, three handicap features will be among the attractions on the bill. The headliner will be the ,500 Midwestern Handicap, slated to bring out 11 horses for the one and one-eighth mile event. The field will include the Valley View Farm entry of Reighs Lass and Vain Vixen. Tabbed as the probable favorite in the Midwestern is Mrs. Frank Munaos Culler-ton, a six-year-old gelded son of Sun Again — Blue Velvet, and a winner at the meeting on opening day. In his only start Cullerton won over a good band of routers, including Moondog. Reighs Lass also is a winner here, earning an eight -length victory over Angie in a seven-furlong event on Aprii 26. No Tricks Slated to Go Harry Starks No Tricks, winner of the Littlemans Handicap last Monday when the four-year-old colt beat Vain Vixen. Tanbark, and Equimore in the one and one-sixteenth mile affair, is another scheduled starter. Vain Vixen finished second, while the other two were out of the money. These three are also slated to go in the Midwestern. Another strong factor in Mondays test is Mrs. Russell L. Reinemans Chicle H. In two starts at this track Chicle II. finished second in his last effort behind But Why last Tuesday, and on April 27 he beat Kays Children in a one and one-eighth mile test. MacGregor and Arnolds First Star also looms as a threat. First Star won the one and one-sixteenth mile Whisk Broom Purse at Sportsmans on April 28. Oldehove and Regnave Stables Mokatuck also started at the current meeting, finishing out of the money; while the entry of Appian Way and Youll Do. owned by the Peretz-Mavros combination, will be making their initial start. Among the eligibles for the one and three-eighths mile Endurance Handicap No. 3, Wednesdays ,500 feature, will be the two previous Endurance Cap winners, Joe Nickls Mock Battle, victor of Endurance No. 1 at one and one-sixteenth miles, and William Hal Bishops Chara. winner of No. 2 at one and one-eighth miles. Other eligibles are Idle Platter. Close Out. Beylerbey, Rushing Tide, Renoir, Bookworm, Armed Truce. Tall Iris, Bill- town, Golden Admiral, Nickies Boy, Vain Vixen, McCreight and Swizzle. The final days feature will be the 0000 Thomas D. Nash Memorial Handicap at one and one-sixteenth miles, scheduled for Saturday. May 14. The nominations will close on Thursday.
