Jockey Club Approves 20 Trustees for Group List Widener Honorary Chairman Of Greater New York Association BELMONT PARK. Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 12— The Jockey Club, at its regular monthly meeting held today at its office. 250 Park Avenue. New York City, approved the names of 20 members to serve as trustees of the proposed Greater New York Association, the formation of which was authorized by the last session of the New York state legislature. Before taking this action the club dissolved the original planning committee with a vote of thanks for its efforts. This committee consisted of John W. Hanes. chairman: C. T. Chenery. Harry F. Guggenheim. James Cox Brady and John Hay Whitney. Those invited to serve as trustees when the new association is formed are as follows: George H. Bostwick, James Cox Brady. Christopher T. Chenery, John C. Clark, Walter Fletcher, Harry F. Humphrey, Howell E. Jackson, Walter M. Jeffords, Robert J. Kleberg, Ogden Phipps. John M. Schiff. Whitney Stone, Harold E. Talbott, Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, F. S. von Stade, John Hay Whitney, George D. Widener and William Woodward, Jr. The meeting then voted that Mr. Widener, chairman of The Jockey Club, serve as j honorary chairman of the trustees of the Greater New York Association. Under the new legislation the New York State Racing Commission must approve the trustees.
