TIPPETYWITCH, forwardly placed from the beginning, raced NAIRN into defeat to take command during the run down the backstretch, continued on gamely to the stretch under steady rating, then retained a clear advantage when fully extended. PROCTOR worked his way forward to attain the runner-up position on the final turn, but was unable to reach the winner when hard hustled through the final furlong. STEVIES PAL lacked a rally. MERMAN failed to make up appreciable ground. TAR QUEEN was sluggish during the early runnina. FRIPPERTY tired. BIG MISTER was outrun STOCK EXCHANGE was unable to keep up.
