Services for McDaniel Held GLENDALE, Calif., May 12. — The turf world and his legion of friends and admirers paid their final respects to Robert H. "Red" McDaniel Wednesday afternoon at three oclock when funeral services were held at the Church of the Recessional at Forest Lawn. More than 200 attended the services, which were followed by interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. As at the memorial services held in San Mateo Monday evening, leaders of every phase of thoroughbred racing were in attendance, a tribute to , the popularity of the celebrated horseman . who died last Thursday when he plunged | into the bay from the Golden Gate bridge shortly after having saddled a winner at Golden Gate Fields at Albany. McDaniel, 1 who had been the nations leading trainer . for the past five years, is survived by his widow, Evelyn, and two daughters.
