VARSITY was steadied saving ground close to the bunched leaders, came out slightly settling into the clear behind ALGASIR at the head of the stretch and steadily closed in to be up near the end. ALGASIR was sent between horses to challenge soon after the start, disposed of BRONZE WARRIOR after a half mile, but did not have enough left to resist the winner. BRONZE WARRIOR vied for the pace into the final turn and weakened. BELLUNO lacked speed to be with the first flight, saved ground on the turn and rallied mildly. PLUS FOURS, POST PRANDIAL and ZUYDER ZEE vied for the early lead from that order to the outside and they dropped back on the turn Scratched— 335171 Sweet Vermouth, 112.
