Ferris Arrives in London To Attend IAF Conference LONDON, England, May 12 UP.— Dan Ferris, secretary-treasurer of the National AAU, arrived by plane today from New York on a four-day visit to attend the conference of the International Athletic Foundation. Speaking of the prospects of the U. S. Olympic team in the 1956 games, Ferris said "We have great plans to be represented by a full team in all sports." He said that there was some concern about tryouts for the American athletes because the games are scheduled at Melbourne, Australia, in November and December. "That is a problem we have not yet solved. For our boys, the Olympics will take place at a strange time in our winter," Ferris said. /
