Seven to Face Starter In River Forest Purse Regard Cullerton and Challcote Favorites ih Sportsmans Test SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero. 111.. May 12. — The National Jockey Clubs highly successful spring meeting presents its semi-final program Friday with a well-balanced program, four of the races being over the seven-furlong route and the others over the longer distances. Three of the four remaining races are at one and one-sixteenth miles, and the other at one and one-eighth miles. The feature event is the ,500 River Forest Purse at one and one-sixteenth miles, which will go as the sixth race. In this number seven starters will face Boots Dickerson at the starting gate. The field includes Mrs. George F. Mengs Real Sir. Grace Kosibas Fast Traffic, William Hal Bishop Stables Challcote. William Terry. Jrs.. Free Too, Mrs. Frank J. Munaos Cullerton, Ed L. Louxs Dr. Felix, and Mrs. Eleanor M. Laris Ace Captain. The favoritism in the race lies between Cullerton and Challcote, although the latter has raced at the meeting since opening day, finishing out of the money. Incidentally, Cullerton won the race. Since his winning effort, he engaged in one race and wound up unplaced. Cullerton will have jockey Willie Cox in the saddle, taking over when Don Wagner, who rode the chestnut Sun Again gelding on opening day, was set down. Cullerton also has been assigned 117 pounds by Racing Secretary Robert P. McAuliffe. Ralph Borgemenke, Bishops new rider, will handle Challcote. The new addition to the Sportsmans Park jockey colony has been riding well at the " mtetiiig, fTOiifT11*. , winning four races.
