GRANNY BROOK was a sharp factor from the start, took command from PLAY TIGER entering the stretch and retained a clear advantage to the finish without the need of urging. GRANT H. raced evenly for a half mile, then came out slightly for the drive and closed willingly but could not threaten the top cne. RIDERE made a good bid approaching the stretch but was unable to hold GRANT H. when set down in the drive. PLAY TIGER took command at the break and made the pace to the stretch while engaging GRANNY BROOK, then weakened. CARDINAL KID raced wide through the stretch. STAR BLAZE had early speed. GENE LEMAY lacked early foot. AMANDMINE began sluggishly. FIGHTING DICK was through after a half mile. AARRAABB disliked the slow track. GEDARESQUE gradually worked way forward while racing in the middle of the track, remained on the outside for the drive, and, responding to punishment, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. PLATTER SCOUT, well placed from the outset, reached the lead between calls in the stretch but could not hold the winner. MINK GAL, never far back, settjed into the stretch with a short lead, then faltered. JOE PAGLINA saved ground throughout but could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. KAZ had no mishap. OLD MILTON raced wide. BULL 0"W00DS lacked early foot. BOOKMOBILE had brief speed. PRINCE CONSORT began slowly. HARPET made the pace to the stretch, then gave way. MARKIT PAID took command at once, raced FEIGNED into defeat before entering the stretch, then held on gamely to withstand JUST FREEDOM. The latter gradually improved his position to the stretch, then was sent between horses during the drive but could not overtake the top one, although much the best of the others. DASHEFF lacked early foot and raced wide through the stretch. HUNT PLATE was outrun and had no excuse. BUGLES DREAM tired during the stretch run. FEIGNED raced nearest MARKIT PAID to the stretch, but had nothing left for the drive. MICHAEL T. V/. could not keep up. MYOMIKE showed nothing. BLUNDER had early speed but failed to stay. The latter moved up fast on the outside after the start, took command and held on determinedly during the drive, but could not withstand the top one. SLAVE DANCER gave a good performance and had no excuse. SPRING TUNE was rank during the post parade, lacked early foot, but finished fairly well under urging. AURORA BELLE was outrun and had no mishap. KINTLA failed to respond when set down for the drive. ANXIOUS ANNIE was never dangerous. FLORAL MISS began slowly and raced greenly. SWEET JOSIE raced evenly for a half mile, then closed gamely under brisk handling, but could not get to the winner, although easily best of the others. LUCIETE raced nearest VAGABOND KING to the final furlong, then weakened. GOLDNOSE was outrun and had nc excuse. GAYLON was never dangerous and had no mishap. OLD FORGE raced far back the entire trip.
