Good Early Response Received For 5,000 Fairmount Cap FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., May 8.— On his missionary trip to Chicago in the interest of the 5,000 added Fair-mount Handicap, to be staged here Saturday, June 16," racing secretary John J. Klucina returned enthused over the response he received from horsemen in the Chicago area. A total of 12 nominations were received for the one mile arid one-sixteenth stakes event and since he failed to contact several prospects Klucina believes there will be at least 20 horses named for the race out of Chicago alone. Nominations do not close until Wednesday, June 6, while weights are to be announced Tuesday, June 12.
