Celebrities En Masse At Opening of Pimlico President Cohen, Wife Host Goldmans, Katzners, Potts PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 8. — There were many luncheon parties marking the opening of the Pimlico meeting today and numerous well-known figures in the social and civic life of the community were on hand for the inaugural. President Herman Cohen of the Maryland Jockey Club and Mrs. Cohen had as their guests Rabbi and Mrs. Israel Goldman, Mi-, and Mrs. Benjamin Katzner and Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Potts. Mrs. Zelda Cohen, wife of Ben Cohen, Pimlicos treasurer, entertained a party of 26 in the Members Club, while Mrs. Lou Pondfield, wife of the tracks executive director, had a party of four. Also seen in the clubhouse were Mrs. James F. Hepbron, wife of the Baltimore police commissioner; Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Miles, Mrs. Augustus Riggs IV, Mrs. Edgar Allen Poe, Mr. and Mrs. Guy T. Warfield, Janon Fisher, Mrs. Henry A. Parr, HI and Mrs. Charles W. Williams. Don Kellett, president of the Baltimore Colts professional football team, was on hand with Mrs. Kellett, as was R. Bruce Livie, a director of that team and also a prominent horse owner. Still others attending the opening were Mrs. Henry Obre, Mrs. Frank Bonsai, Mrs. Edward Voss, Jr., Mrs. J. Reeder Hughes, Mrs. Thomas Vickery, Mrs. George Warren Wagner, Mr. and Mrs. Gough Thompson, Mrs. Alan C. Woods, Hylan Kuhns, Mrs. Patrick Smithwick, Mr. and Mrs. W. Carroll Mead, Mrs. Michael Shehan, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen C. Clark Jr., Mrs. Sol Kann, Morton Hecht, George Fallon, Jos-I eph Wyatt and Sam Friedl.
