Stewards Rulings CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 8. — The stewards here posted the following rulings today: "Jockey J. L. Rotz is suspended 10 days May 10 to May 19, inclusive for rough riding in first race, May 7. "Aprcntice jockey O. Crank is suspended 10 days May 10 to May 19, inclusive for rough riding first race, May 7." " WHEELING DOWNS, Wheeling, W. Va., May 8. — The stewards issued the following ruling here today: "Jockey Robert Rigby is suspended five days for not keeping a straight course after leaving the gate in the third race astride Biddy Doyle." "After viewing the film patrol pictures of the seventh race of Saturday, May 5, on several occasions, the stewards, this day, suspended jockeys George Stidham and Raymond Belan-ger 5 days for not keeping straight courses after leaving the starting gate and jockeys Calvin Thacker and James Dobson 5 days for crossing over too sharply on the turns during the running of the race." FONNER PARK, Grand Island, Nebr., May 8. — The stewards issued the following ruling: "Jockey Larry Byers Is fined 0 for failure to maintain a straight course away from the gate on several occasions." FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 7.— The stewards today issued the following ruling: "On the 25th day, May 5, eighth race, jockey R. Kurtz, on Hard Ruler, claimed foul against jockey P. Sage, on Young Gander, who finished third. Foul was allowed and Young Gander was disqualified and placed third. Official placing: Wild Honey, first; Hard Ruler, second; Young Gander, third, and Beths Girl, fourth. "Jockey P. Sage was held blameless."
