POMPOSITY v/as reserved close lo the pace until the final quarter mile, then moved readily on the outside to gain command and v/as under steady urging to maintain his advantage. HOT WALKER showed speed from the start, saved ground into the stretch and held on stubbornly to earn dead-beat with OIL GUSHER. The latter closed with a belated rush on the outside. WILL GO WELL faltered near the end. GHOST RIDER lacked a rally. EAST BAY failed to respond lo late urging. ROYAL BRIGADE was forced to lose ground. The others v/cre never prominent. MISS ERLEN asumcd command after three furlongs, was forced wide when bumped by SIONNACE entering the stretch, continued on gamely and steadily increased the advantage. BOMBDRA v/as unhurried while settling into best stride, then came betv/een horses -in the stretch and finished stoutly. BENEFICIAL was a forward factor, saved ground into the stretch and weakened after a mild bid. SIONNACH rushed up along the inside to vie for the early lead, then came out on the final turn and weakened. HABITANTE lacked early speed. DI-ORE-MODEL raced in spots. KINGS RULE was never prominent. QUESTEPAMA moved betv/een horses lo vie for the lead soon after the start, continued on gamely and withstood a sustained stretch drive. EVENING TIME, forwardly placed on the outside, drifted out slightly nearing the furlong pole, was straightened quickly and closed with a belated rush that just missed. HOOSIER HONEY moved with a rush along the inside to engage the leaders into the stretch and herd on stubbornly in the drive. STIR IT UP v/as unable to make up ground. GOLDEN AGE lacked speed. WELL SEASONED shewed nothing. LOST HOLIDAY was outrun. SWOONS DOT broke alertly, drew clear and weakened after three furlongs. FOURTH RACE S FURLONGS out of chute. HELLO POP, reserved close to the leader for three furlongs, moved readily when set down, assumed command before straightened for the drive and drew out easily. CHEROKEE ROAD rallied in the closing furlong but was never.a menace. IN ROME AS drew clear soon after the start, skirted the inner rail while setting the pace under steady handling, was roused when th« winner moved up and had nothing left. GROUND WORK ran off with the rider aboard for about five furlongs, then went evenly in the race. TINTERN showed an even effort. The others were outrun. QUEEN YVONNE, racing wide, weakened after forcing the pace. -BEAURIDGE dropped off the pace and failed to reach serious contention. WAR TUNE was unhurried while kept outside in the clear, was sent in betv/een horses midway on the far turn, then came outside for the drive and was along under steady pressure to sain the lead in the final yards. TONYS CHANCE was on the outside rounding the far turn, then was steered to the inside entering the stretch and closed with a rush. EDS DAY forced the pace along the inside, getting the lead momentarily, continued on after giving way and appeared to hang. SCOTSMANS BOND was under steadying "restraint for five furlongs, lost ground when forced to go around horses and lacked a late rally. CABLE JACK rushed bordly on the outside to take command into the stretch then faltered. PADDYS DAY set a rapid pace for five furlongs and weakened. THREE CUBS was unable to keep up. GOOGIN moved steadily „ to take command into the stretch, was unable to draw-clear, but held on tenaciously. SEA VOYAGE, in hand until the half mile, worked his. way up along the inside, came to the outside in the drive to loom as a threat, then went evenly. IMA BEAU raced in close attendance of the pace, vied for command when roused, but was not good enough. NOBLE SIR passed tiring horses. TEDDYS GIFT -had no mishap. ALBARB weakened in the late stages. The latter closed stoutly along the inside but was not good enough. RAZZBERRY weakened after forcing the pace and went wide in the stretch. ROMAN FAIR, forwardly placed and racing wide, moved to the leader nearing the final turn, was forced wide and weakened in the drive RINDAS DREAM rallied mildly in the late stages. SLIDE APART moved up as the leader went wide, then v weakened. GO WEST had no mishap. The others were outrun.
