Hold Funeral Services Today For Al Marchi, Heart Victim COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 8.— Requiem high mass will be sung Wednesday morning in St. Christopher Church here for Albert Paul "Al" Marchi, Columbus sportsman and co-owner of a five-horse string of thoroughbreds known as the Columbus Stable. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery just south of Columbus with the John Quint and Son Funeral Home in charge. Marchi, 49, died Sunday at his home here following a heart attack. He had recovered from a similar attack suffered during a visit to Sunshine Park in Florida about 16 months ago. Future of the Columbus Stable is unknown. The stable, which includes Gee and Royal Charles, is now at Wheeling Downs. Marchfs partner in the operation of the stable was Herb Christopher, golf pro here. A former links professional, Marchi had retained his membership in the Professional Golfers Association. Survivors include his wife, Erma; daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Jordan; sisters Jean, Mrs. Frances Williams, Mrs. Mary Herby, Mrs. Marguerite Rea, Mrs. Helen Zeciski, and brothers Eugene, professional golfer at the Miami Valley Country Club, Dayton, and Italo. The Marchi-Christopher stable was involved in a fire that swept the barn area at Sunshine Park last winter. They loat one horse in the blaze.
