Thinking Cap Assigned Top Weight for Riggs To Tote 126 Pounds in Saturday Event; Misty Morn Gets 12.1 By PALMER HEAGERTY PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 8.— Christiana Stables Thinking Cap, who last year numbered the Travers and Lawrence Realization stakes among his accomplishments, has been assigned 126 pounds by racing secretary J. Fred Colwill for Saturdays 0,000-added Riggs Handicap. This mile and one-half event will be contested over the Pimlico turf course, and serves as the final important prep for the 5,000-added Dixie Handicap, also to be contested over the greensward. Thinking Cap, a four -year-old son of Rosemont-Camargo, by Heliopolis, is in his glory at extended distances, as evidenced by his winning performances in the Travers at a mile and a quarter and the Lawrence Realization at a mile and five furlongs. He has trained well for his seasonal bow and the Riggs could be the suitable . spot.: j Assigned 121 pounds, or equal weight on the scale, is Wheatley* Stables good filly, Misty Morn. This lassie, who was voted the top sophomore filly of 1955, when she v/on the Providence, Molly Pitcher, Monmouth Oaks, Diana Handicap and Gallant Fox, is currently in New York. Just below the Wheatley miss are Cedar ! Farms Our Dance and Mrs. Ben Cohens Boy DAmour, with 117 and 116 pounds, respectively. Our Dance raced twice on the grass at Laurel, winning his first engagement and finishing third behind Ocean Lane and Kaster on the other occasion. [ Ocean Lane, who races for North Downs Farm, gets in the Riggs under 115 pounds, while Kaster gets in with a package of 113 pounds. Another one well weighted is Mrs. Anson Bigelows Guardian II. with 115 j pounds. This fellow surprised with a victory in the Hialeah Turf Handicap last !
