MULLIGAN FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 8. — Jockey Kenney Robertson, who has been riding with continued success, added another victory to his saddle triumphs bringing his total to 23, only one behind jockey Arthur Farrell when he booted L. D. Moores Chall Wind to a half-length victory over A. H. Livingstons Choice B. in the opening race here this afternoon. The Moore colorbearer paid 2.00 and traveled the five panels in 1:00% over a fast track. Steel Strike finished third to gain a head verdict over Blue Toledo for the show award. The favored Royal Stream, who pulled up sore, finished ninth beating only one horse in the ten-horse field. The second race went to E. Nikirks Promising who was installed as the public choice and made good when apprentice Edward Christison got his mount to the front to outgame Come Early in the closing strides. Come Early, who was ridden by Robertson, was hustled to the front, and looked like a winner until the fast charging Promising drew by her when the real test came. JThe winners margin was two and one-half lengths "while Come Early was four lengths in advance of Miss Jubilee. The Daily Double combination of Chall Wind in the first and Promising in the second returned 3,60. Nancy Tobias Mr. Puddy Cat, four-year-old son of Flaught, will be making his third start at the Fort Miami meeting in the Holmes Grill Purse, on Wednesdays midweek nine-race program at six furlongs. Mr. Puddy Cat registered with ease here last Saturday, winning hy four lengths and off that splendid effort he is likely to be the prohibitive choice. Telamon, from the establishment of J. I. Hamilton, may be the chief contender as he, too, was victorious on Saturday in a six-furlong test, covering the distance in 1 : 14, one-f ith of a second slower than Mr. Puddy Cat. However they carry equal weights in tomorrows main event and this pair may be seen battling it out from flag-fall to finish. Arrayed against the aforementioned pair are T. F. Baus Dis Pete, C. L. Crays Dis-. maid, C. B. Sperrys Omaha Fair, Mrs. B. M. Palms Bull McGee, A. F. Stones Geoffrey G. and George Nichols Wire Flash. Omaha Fair showed possibilities in his last appearance at this oval a few days ago and may go well. He has been training satisfactorily and is highly regarded along shedrow.
