To Honor Preakness Trainers PIMUCO, Baltimore, Md., May 8. — Preston M. Burch, of Brookmeade Stable, and John M. G.aver, of Greentree Stable, were the first two of eight trainers to accept an invitation from Pimlico executive director Louis Pondfield to participate in a program on Fridayi-May 18, honoring famous trainers of Preakness winners. The chosen conditioners will be feted on Preakness eve at a special clubhouse luncheon and each will have a race on the days- card named for him and for which he will present the trophy to the winner. The feature event of the day, of course, is the 0,000 Mr.jFitz Handicap, honoring Americas most famous trainer, Sunny Jim Fitzsimmons, 81, who saddled Nashua, Gallant Fox and Omaha for three Preakness victories.
