TELEPOST alternated on the lead under light restraint -to the final quarter mile, was put to stout pressure, outgamed VERY SPECIAL and pulled up lame. VERY SPECIAL went to the front at once, saved ground while losing the lead, regained command on the far turn and held on stubbornly to the finish. CHUSCO closed with a belated rush from far off the pace. DESTINO SON kept close to the leaders, rallied mildly on the final turn but was not good enough. AWARE lacked a late rally.
