MESSALLIANCE II. FOALS FILLY HOUSTON, Texas, May 4.— Valdina Farms reported Wednesday that the imported mare Messalliance II. foaled a fine chestnut filly by Gallant Fox at the Valdina nursery near Hondo. Messalliance H., a daughter of imported Ksar and Petite Contesse, by Sted-fast, is one of the most highly pried of the Valdina mares. She was purchased from Arthur B. Hancock for ,500. Messalliance II. will be bred to Teddys Comet this season. Other foals at Valdina Farms last week were: Brown colt, by Sortie — Fire Opal, by Under Fire; bay colt, by Hilltown — Step Sister, by Broomstick; brown filly, by Hilltown— Baldys Flame, by Sweep. Fire Opal will be again bred to Sortie this season. Step Sister, goes to Night Flier and Baldya Flame visits Teddys Comet. There are now forty-three foals at Valdina, nineteen colts and twenty-four fillies. Only about six more foals are expected.
