t T. M. DORSETTS FAST MILE LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 4— In a workout that was as impressive as Johnstowns was yesterday, Joe W. Browns Kentucky Derby contender, T. M. Dorsett, worked a mile in 1:39% between the third and fourth races at Churchill Downs this afternoon. The Cohort colt, - handled by Leon Haas, was being eased the last eighth, as trainer John B. Theall waved him down in the stretch. The New Orleans-owned three-year-old, under a snug hold, covered the first quarter in :24, the half in :48%, and three-quarters in 1:12%,i fractions that were faster than Johnstowns, although the latter worked the full mile in 1:38%. T. M. Dorsett arrived here two days ago from New York in an ailing condition and Wednesday morning was running a temperature. If todays trial leaves no ill effects, however, he is certain to start in Saturdays , classic.
